CFUW Perth & District's 3rd annual Period Product Drive was a resounding success!

Menstrual period products overflowed the tables and baskets from all the donations received by our very generous club members, local businesses, organizations and community members on March 18 when members met at the Royal Canadian Legion for their monthly meeting. From diva cups, tampons, menstrual pads, period panties and gift cards...thank you to all.

One in six Canadians who menstruate have experienced period poverty; this rises to one in four if their household earns less than $40,000 a year.

Organizer Sue Brown delivered 200 pounds of products and $380 in gift certificates, split between The Table Community Food Centre and Cornerstone Landing.

We are grateful for the support of CFUW members, local businesses, organizations, and community members.

“I think when people realize, when they think about the situation, they just have to do something to help,” said Liz McQuaig, CFUW's program chair, about the community’s response to the drive.
